Space architecture

Alfredo Muñoz is the founder of Futuverse and ABIBOO Studio. He is also the Chair for Memberships of the Technical Committee of Space Architecture at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Mr. Muñoz has been considered the youngest among the most influential Spanish Architects and the youngest European Leaders (EYL40).

His clients range from Fortune Global 500 conglomerates to governments to private high-net-worth individuals on five continents. Alfredo has been teaching and speaking at elite Universities, and his work has been featured in media outlets across the world. He holds a Master’s in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a Master’s of Advanced Studies in Architecture from BarcelonaTech.

Dr. Alfonso Davila

EXOBIOLOGY &
MARTIAN LIFE

Dr. Alfonso Davila is a Research Scientist at NASA Ames Research Center. His focus is on Exobiology, particularly in the genesis of life in the Solar System, using simulation environments and terrestrial analogs to assess the potential habitability of other planets. Additionally, he provides his expertise in developing mission concepts to search for evidence of life on Mars, Europa, and Enceladus, and advises the maturation of instruments for space exploration.

Alfonso has led or contributed to expeditions to inhospitable places such as Antarctica and the Atacama Desert, conducting theoretical and experimental investigations in Mars analog environments. Alfonso holds a PhD in Earth and Environmental Sciences from The University of Munich.

Dr. Amanda Kavner

EDUCATION & COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE

Amanda’s research focuses on developing and applying cognitive computational models in educational assessment and curricular development using machine learning algorithms to analyze neurocognitive measurements recorded in educational environments. Her interdisciplinary work is based on cognitive psychology, the neuroscience of behavior, psychometrics, and computer science.

Among her activities, Amanda has recently integrated her expertise in designing web 3.0 curriculums where crypto and blockchain education is part of the community. Amanda completed her PhD at the University at Buffalo in New York, concentrating on Machine Learning applications in Computational Cognitive Neuroscience.

Dr. Felix Tropf

SOCIOLOGY & GENETICS OF ENVIRONMENTAL BEHAVIOR

Dr. Felix Tropf is a sociologist focused on social demography, genetics, artificial intelligence, and the life course. He is an Assistant Professor in Social Science Genetics at CREST/ENSAE, an Associate Member of Nuffield College in Oxford, a Visiting Scientist at the Queensland Institute for Medical Research in Australia, and the Center for Fertility and Health in Oslo, Norway.

His research has been published, amongst others, in Demography, Nature Genetics, Nature Human Behaviour, JAMA Psychiatry, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and Population Studies. Felix completed his PhD in Sociology at the University of Groningen and received the European Demography Award for best PhD Thesis.

Rafal Nowocien

GAMIFICATION

Rafal Nowocien is a veteran game designer, producer, and project manager with nearly two decades of experience in the gaming industry. His career highlights include co-creating “The Witcher,” a game that sold over 8 million copies and inspired a Netflix series, and contributing to the development of “Cyberpunk 2077” as a former member of CD Projekt. Rafal has successfully completed more than 70 game and gamification projects, ranging from casual titles to AAA games, and has pioneered innovative work in the design of NFT and blockchain games, specializing in tokenomics.

Additionally, Rafal has been designing and producing computer games that focus on blockchain technology and immersive experiences for over six years. His significant contributions include the gamification of the Futuverse™, The Witcher, projects like Gadu-Gadu, and a multimedia dictionary for Cambridge University. Rafal utilizes his expertise in IT solutions, marketing communications, and mobile applications to create engaging and educational games that fulfill the needs and exceed the expectations of his clients and users.

Kenny Vassigh

FRONTIER TECHNOLOGY & SPACE SYSTEMS

Kenny Vassigh has extensive experience in innovative frontier technology development, from start-ups to Silicon Valley companies, including Google, to space institutions such as NASA. Kenny is also the Founder of Caylan Space Inc, a company focused on providing space services for government and companies.

Kenny has over 20 years of spaceflight mission, system design & architecture experience with NASA in areas ranging from human spaceflight, Space Shuttle, and the International Space Station (ISS) operations to design and development of robotic missions, payloads, and instruments for NASA’s Space Technology, Earth, Planetary, Astrophysics, Space Biology, and Life Sciences investigations.

Dr. David C. Cullen

ASTROBIOLOGY & SPACE BIOTECHNOLOGY

Dr. David Cullen is a Professor of Astrobiology & Space Biotechnology at Cranfield University (UK). He is currently working on resource utilization studies on the Moon and Mars relevant to sustainable off-world human habitats and settlements.

In the past, he led space-focused biotechnological initiatives, such as the Life Marker Chip instrument that was part of the initial European Space Agency (ESA) ExoMars to detect evidence of past life on Mars. Additionally, he led instrumentation-based field studies in Iceland, Greenland, and the Norwegian arctic and on stratospheric balloon platforms. He holds a PhD in biosensors from the University of Cambridge.

Dr. Gisela Detrell

LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEMS

Dr. Gisela Detrell currently leads the “Life Support and Energy Systems” research group at the Institute of Space Systems at the University of Stuttgart (Germany). Her research includes the analysis and simulation to produce oxygen and food for long-duration human spaceflight, including the experiment Photobioreactor at the International Space Station.

She graduated in Aerospace Engineering at BarcelonaTech (UPC, Spain) and completed her PhD in reliability analysis of life-support systems for long space missions at the University of Stuttgart (Germany) and the UPC.

Harold Montgomery

FINTECH & CRYPTOCURRENCY

Harold Montgomery is an International business executive with a background as Chairman and CEO of public-listed organizations in the Financial sector. Harold brings to Onteco his expertise in FinTech, eCommerce, cryptocurrencies, and Blockchain applications. Over the years, Harold has shared his know-how in achieving rapid growth and fundraising in private and public markets with networks, including New York Times, CNN, and BBC, among many others. He is also a member of various organizations, including the Council on Foreign Relations.

Harold is currently involved in merging crypto and fiat currencies. He graduated in International Relations at Stanford University and later completed his MBA at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Dr. Philipp Hartlieb

MINING ENGINEERING & MINERAL ECONOMICS

Dr. Philipp Hartlieb is a senior scientist at the Chair of Mining Engineering at Montanuniversitaet Leoben and a member of the International Society of Rock Mechanics Commission on “Planetary Rock Mechanics”. His main research areas are sustainable and environmental mining technologies, reducing the energy consumption and environmental impact of mining operations, mainly in mechanical excavation and drilling & blasting.

A special focus of his research is on alternative fragmentation methods such as extra-terrestrial mining, which is needed due to the low gravity, where he researches the excavation process, loading, hauling, and construction of underground structures (like the Onteco’s Cliffcity habitats). He completed his PhD in Mining Engineering from the University of Leoben.

Stephanie Hensley

FASHION

Stephanie Hensley is an award-winning American fashion designer and celebrity stylist. Her collections and designs have been worn by celebrities such as Lady Gaga, exhibited in museums, and featured in international media such as Time Out London, Bloomberg, Vogue, and NBC News, among many others.

Stephanie has lived and worked across Europe, Latin America, and Asia and is proficient in Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, French, Italian, and her native English. Stephanie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design from Boston and a Master’s Degree in Fashion Footwear from London College of Fashion.

Manuel Pantoja

DIGITAL ENVIRONMENTS

Manuel Pantoja is the Director of digital environments for Futuverse. He is currently developing digital tools that allow users to explore immersive experiences and collaborative platforms using VR, AR, and MR. Manuel has broad expertise in converging architecture, collaborative ecosystems, and new technologies.

Over the last decade, he has developed more than 100 digital projects in more than 20 countries, focusing on digital twins and simulation in virtual realities. Manuel holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Architecture, a Master’s in Digital Visualization, and an Executive MBA.

María L. Dalmasso

BLOCKCHAIN

Maria Laura is the Co-Founder and CTO of Ieko and brings to Futuverse’s team more than 20 years of experience developing financial and Blockchain software. Maria Laura leads a multidisciplinary team of Blockchain developers inside Futuverse.

Over the last five years, she has successfully implemented NFT architecture solutions, crypto wallet projects, tokens, staking developments, front-end and back-end marketplace integration with digital assets, smart-contract deployments, and DeFi trading ecosystems. Maria Laura holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

Peter Wielgosz

EMERGING FINANCE

Peter Wielgosz is a legal professional with extensive experience in start-up tech companies, private equity, governance structuring, acquisitions, and crypto-assets. Mr. Wielgosz also has a strong background in capital markets. He has led multi-billion-dollar transactions across the globe advising corporates, high-net-worth individuals, and family offices, including members of the Saudi Royal Family.

Peter earned his Juris Doctor at the Melbourne University in Australia and continued his private equity academic education in Said Business School at Oxford University. He is a member of the International Bar Association and is registered as a Legal professional in Australia, the UK, and Dubai.

Ollie

CHIEF PET OFFICER

Ollie is the first pet inside Futuverse and is responsible for enhancing interspecies friendship. Animals in extreme environments are an essential part of the community, and petting zoos significantly improve the citizens’ psychological well-being.

Ollie is a Japanese breed of cat that follows you everywhere, almost like a puppy. Although it took him some time to get used to engineered proteins, he loves eating microalgae and cookies made of fish and insects. Inside Onteco Mars, the first Futuverse world, he loves long jumping, which is even more impressive on the Red Planet since the planet has a third of Earth’s gravity.
